We have a serious crush on color and we want to share our summer love with you!
No one should shy away from all of the yummy summer colors currently available. Colors are meant to be loved and embraced! And this collection will help awaken or continue your love for color.
Colors are great because they cover every genre of outfit. Color can be classy, fun, causal, formal...the list goes on and on. There are no limits to color!
ADORNit Girls love mixing textures, colors and prints to make outfits more interesting and exciting. In this first outfit we are mixing mint and yellow which might seem a little unexpected but if you take a peak at the color wheel you'll notice that yellow and green are next to each other. And a good rule of thumb is that if they are buddies on the color wheel they will be buddies in real life. Another great rule to follow is the nature rule. If you can think of a color combo that you think is a natural beauty then it will naturally be beautiful on you too. This outfit makes us think of a lovely sunflower.
Our next outfit is all about loving that little pop of unexpected color! You might think that we are talking about that fabulous necklace (which we kind of are) but what we really want you to see is the back of this jacket! TA-DA! Unexpected pops of color add so much to an outfit! Investing in statement pieces such as this jacket or a bold pop of color statement necklace keeps your wardrobe fresh and exciting. Having these special items automatically spice up your seemingly dull wardrobe.
This next one is about choosing one bright color and keeping the rest of your outfit neutral.
This coral striped tunic is such a fun blast of color! But to make it a little less overwhelming to our color cautious sisters we paired it with black skinny jeans and neutral accessories. If you are ever scared of a bright color, don't panic, just go neutral with the rest of your outfit and you can't go wrong.
This next outfit bumps up the fanciness factor just a touch. So often we get stuck in the mindset that we need to keep our skirts neutral and only wear color on top. Let's break that rule! Don't be afraid to buy that colored skirt and totally rock it! Colored and patterned skirts can be another investment item that spice up your wardrobe. Don't be afraid to wear color and prints on the bottom. We promise it is ok!
This next outfit is a the best way to give new life to your favorite tee (or our weekly deal tee). It is so easy to get so excited about a new shirt so you wear it every other day and then you quickly loose interest and it sits in the back of your closet. But the best way to bring new life to that awesome tee is to pair it with a skirt. It totally changes the vibe and you will see it in a new light. But we have all been there when we try and pair a tee with a skirt and the tee doesn't tuck or lay properly with your selected skirt. But don't worry we have a solution! Knot your tee! It will add more visual interest and depth to your outfit.
Last but certainly not least is this FABulous color crush dress! Who doesn't love a great dress on a hot summer day?! Having a dress that is brightly colored makes even the simplest outfit exciting and fun. The other great part of this dress besides the fabulous ombre is the lace overlay that is longer then the slip giving it a great breezy look and feel. Pair it with a sun hat and you are summer chic!
