12 Fall Fashion Staples for Every Wardrobe
Fall is officially in the air and we are so excited to infusion some ADORNit fashion into your wardrobe!
First, close your eyes and think about fall...If you're like us you are picturing brightly colored leafs crunching under your feet, cozy sweaters layered with fuzzy scarves and the continual smell of pumpkin spice in the air. How fabulous does that sound? Now we know that fall means saying goodbye to summer but with all of these fresh new fashion ideas to spruce up your fall wardrobe it will be easy to leave summer in the dust and jump into a pile of fall fashion!
Fall doesn't mean that you have to loose your feminine and gorgeous shape under millions of layers of bulky sweaters. Take for example this first grouping of pictures, these girls are still looking fresh, fun and feminine and totally appropriate for fall.
1) Our first outfit is a funky way to style a peasant top. Peasant tops are an easy and comfy way to show some style. In this outfit our stylist Jill tucked her top into some high-waist cropped skinny jeans and pair them with some sassy cheetah socks and ankle booties. Just because a top is boho or classic or preppy doesn't mean you have to style it in a certain way. Rock those skinny jeans, bell bottoms or boot cut jeans with whatever you want! Moving along to outfit number 2!
2) Jackie is rocking our boho poncho. For some of us it can be a little scary to totally embrace the poncho look that is so in right now for fall. The nice thing about our poncho is that it is not really a true blue poncho. It is a super soft hoodie that has the vibe of a poncho so you can feel on trend this fall but not totally leave your comfort zone. Plus the added volume on the bottom makes your waist look even tinier and who doesn't want that!?
3) Our first layered look is the ultimate combo of our two most girly things, lace and floral! Kimonos are the best way to feel fashionable but stay in complete comfort. This new floral kimono is lined with fringe and has side slits to add some great visual interest and depth. And if you are already envious over this kimono don't look too closely at this beautiful lace tunic. It draws attention to your beautiful face with added lace details on the collar.
4) Do you have a favorite summer dress that is your go to dress anytime you want to feel pretty? Well we have some great news for you!! That dress doesn't have to be shifted to the black hole that is the back of your closet! Add a cute long cardi and your summer dress has new life! In case you haven't noticed layering is totally in and it totally gives your dress new dimension.

5) Oh polka dots, how we love you! And what do we love more then polka dots? Lace! If you love them then pair them! Adding a lace trim to your favorite sweater makes it that much more special and unique. I know personally that I don't always feel feminine in sweaters but adding some girly lace will give your outfit that added spunk that it is missing.
6) If you're thinking that this kimono looks familiar, you're right! It is the same kimono from outfit number 3 but this time we layered it for a chilly fall day. But the same concept applies, if you love it then pair it! Denim has almost become a neutral that goes with anything because in all reality if you would wear a top with jeans then you can pair it with a denim shirt. We love the contrast of the floaty girly nature of the kimono with the more structured look of the denim shirt. And to tie it all together, or I guess I should say belt it all together, we added a cute leather belt to draw attention to the smallest part of the body.
7) This outfit keeps with the denim trend but adds a little more warmth for the months closer to winter. Grab your favorite collared denim shirt and throw a classic black and white sweater over it and BAM you have a fantastic fall outfit for everyday life.
8) It can be so easy to fall into a frumpy sweatshirt rut once the cold weather hits and we are here to save you from that rut! We all know that there are times and places for sweatshirts but why not feel cute while you also feel comfy? This sweatshirt has an adorable lace cutout along the waste to break up the body and add some visual interest with a pop of color. And as always a little girly lace trim is always ADORNit approved.
9) Plaid and fall will forever be united in the world of fashion and we are thrilled about that! Plaid has built in texture without having to work hard. Now take your favorite denim shirt from previous outfits and tie it around your waist. This draws attention to your tiny waist and also adds another texture to your look.
10) Want to wear the comfiest outfit on the planet? I know that is a stupid question, I can practically feel you rolling your eyes and saying yes. Well you will have to slip on our new midi dress. This dress covers all of the important parts of you and becomes practically a blank canvas for you to express your personal fashion. Add a belt, a chunky scarf, some statement necklaces, a skirt extender, you name it you can accessorize with it. And we feel the need to emphasize one more time, this dress is COMFY!
11) Mixing prints can be a little scary but keep this rule in mind, one big and one small. You can look a little crazy if you cover your body in all bold and large prints and it can be a little straining on the eyes if you are covered in tiny little things that you have to squint to make out. Mix up the size and you will have an easier time mixing your prints. This outfit has some chunky stripes mixed with a delicate floral pattern. Another way to make pattern mixing less stressful is to stick within the same color family. This outfit plays with black, cream and a pop of pink and green.
12) If all else fails find cute sweaters or sweatshirts that have unique details like a cowl neck and are in a color that makes your skin look its best. We are all about finding clothes with details that are special and make you feel your best.
